I missed Thailand a lot, specially THAI FOODS .
Don't worry. SE Asia and East Asia have the lowest crime rates on earth. Literally like 1/30th the violent crime of the USA. You can see solo Western women walking around alleyways at 2AM from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong to Seoul to Tokyo with zero concern at all for their safety. It is super safe. Asians are extremely disciplined, docile, respectful people.

My wife and I came back few weeks ago and we really love Chiang Mai, I went to visit Bangkok and Koh Samui and met my wife in Chiang Mai since are main focus beside see our Son who move to Bangkok last Octiber, was to re confirm what many people were talking about this city and took us half day to fall in love and make possible this October move there, we were planning to sale everything and just move with our suitcase and our old cat. 5 Months ago our ideal place was in Javea Spain between Valencia and Alicante near the coast, and after my Son move to Thailand , I start looking his photos and the way he is leaving as a Digital Nomad and how much you money can go. I started looking for housing prices just to compare and for example in Javea an apartament the meet pur expectation was around 1400 eur a month for 9 months, and in Chiang Mai for half of the price you can get a 4 bedrooms House, and looking other cost really make us financial very attractive to leave there and able not to use all our pension and saving money. In fact we were talking between February to April go outof Chiang mai because the smokey season, and also do some month vacation in Europe, and this is all possible because as mention before you do not need a lot of cash to leave very confortable and give the chance to the money you do not spend to go and visited somewhere else. Nice video and also reafirm our decision that Chiang Mai will be a place and see after visiting other places if we will make our primary home residency.

Very good breakdown of your stay in cm. Your next stop Phuket is physically beautiful but it’s somewhere lots of people don’t want to visit anymore. Too many tourists, full of Russians and Chinese mafia types, congested. Please let us know your impressions of Phuket compared to cm. Haven’t been there in 3 years and don’t plan to go back anytime soon.

During our 16-month around the world travel we fell in love with Chiang Mai too. We thought about skipping SE Asia but loved Chiang Mai immediately on arrival and after one month decided to stay another month but moved to a different location. Then a couple years later we returned for another month and a month around Vietnam which we also loved. We rent a motor scooter (my husband drives and I ride on back) – love the food, the weather and the massages and the sweet people. Your videos make me realize how much we want to return. Next time we plan to add Chiang Rai and a beach location to the itinerary plus another country or two.

I had to see a Dr. while in Chiang Mai, $42 USD for the visit along with three prescriptions out the door ; NO WAY is that happening here in South Texas. Got to love it!
