Geoff, not been to chiang mai must be about 9 years now. Love it up there in the north my thai wife don't like the place . I DONT KNOW WhY.😂😂😂😂😂 may be because 0f Loykroy road . You know what mean.
I went there when the Loi Katrong festival was on last year and all the hotels were fully booked. Had to stay at an old cheep Thai hotel at the Arcade bus station.

I stayed at that hotel in 2016. The hotel was a bit old but a great spot. I hired a push bike and rode about. It was a great holiday and cheap too!. Good video Geoff 😅
I had a lovely relaxing massage at the temple and never even got hassled for happy ending etc really nice

I love your guided tours, Geoff. In the Noughties, I spent quite a bit of time in Thailand and Chiang Mai was my favourite but I was doing it all on the cheap because money was tight sadly but we did get to see the monuments and the temple as well as go to an evening extravaganza of traditional dancing and entertainment plus some lovely food. We took the night sleeper train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and that was like going back 50+ years. My daughter and her boyfriend are in Thailand at the moment so watching your videos is making me miss Thailand a great deal. With even less money now than 20 years ago I live vicariously through your and a few others' channels.
