Such a pleasure meeting you both in person!
I just love your video, fun and informative! As for the exorbitant prices on the luxury items, our import taxes are totally crazy! Have fun and enjoy your travels.
I went to Changi Mi over 25yrs ago and there was nothing like that at all only dirt road up to the villages were they grow Opum and Poppy Flowers…
Do they still have Painters for Wall Art in the Markets I bought a painting with 3 moons and Elephants and silver bodas…gold and silver…anyway …

Hi Debbie & Tim,
What better way to start a week-end then with a new day in the life of Debbie & Tim ?
Maybe actually travelling 😀 but I have to wait yet for a few months.
It was delightful to follow you in this mall, what a lushness of food (ouch the price of Nutella, sometime I indulge myself, even though it’s neither ethical neither healthy, but this price will make think thrice before buying it 😂), to eat virtually with you this delicious Guay jub, and enjoy a very interesting night market. Thank you so much for sharing.
I wish you a lovely time. Take care.
Love sketchers especially love their socks awesome vid and food
Are there Chico Rolls & Meat Pies available inside the better malls over there?Love my Aussie Tucker.
I have the same wind chimes from the same market 😂
Bag looked nice quality/ unique. Thanks for sharing 👍
Love your videos – thank you for sharing 🙏 FYI choc hazelnut spread is made by a few brands – Nutella is the famous one 😊 There are also foodservice and commercial unbranded versions for food vendors and bakeries and so on as well.
Really enjoyed the video
Just had to mention, we lived as I mentioned before in Thailand for 11 years. There is a difference between being on holiday and living in a place and you always find that you miss certain things from your Western diet. Mine was cheese and peanut butter, both of which were obviously more expensive than Thai products. Sometimes you just do without these things or wait until they come on offer and then binge! We managed to find a Western product shop in Pattaya called Siamburi's which did lovely cheddar.
Big C is also quite a bit cheaper than Tops and there is also Makro in Thailand, which could be where the Thais buy their Nutella, though personally it was always too expensive for me. Foreigners aren't necessarily crazy, they just miss home and cannot subsist on noodles, which can be very spicy, or eat out the whole time we live there.
Your Thai is actually pretty good, you seem to manage well enough. The Lanna costumes are beautiful.
Don’t know where to go on our next holiday. We are thinking Penang, Vietnam, Cambodia or Bangkok. What would you suggest..Deb?
I find GRAB excellent in Cambodia… HOWEVER there were a couple of times where the map was out of date. We got a ride to a supermarket that no longer existed (closed & boarded up) also to another shop that had moved location. In both instances the GRAB drivers where terrific and more than happy to help us out
Central Retail has partnered with Coles to introduce over 200 exclusive Australian food products in Thailand, marking Coles' first presence in the Thai market. This collaboration aims to enhance the availability of premium imported products for Thai consumers while supporting Australian producers.
Guoi Jub, with Jub's vowel pronounced like that in "cub," comes in two styles–one in dark broth and the other in clear broth. The dark broth is likely a little sweeter while the clear one tends to be more savory and usually served with more pepper..
Another great video ❤
Coles in Thailand, as if we haven't been punished enough. That's kind of depressing. The market looked great anyway, as did much of the food in both the mall and outside.
The vowel sound in "chang" as in Chang Beer is pronounced like that in "baht" or in "car" without the "r" sound. ❤
ไทยแลนด์มีแต่ของอร่อย

Shopping will make your baggage overweight when you board the plane home, but you can't help yourself from shopping.
Hello Debbie & Tim. We are moving back home and to Fnq after being in Europe for over 12 years. We looked at Mareeba to live but worried on the crime! Husband an I.T professional and myself a designer but looking to have a very similar lifestyle in your neck of the woods (but so much has changed).. Would love somehow your two cents on that!
Weve got a sketchers outlet less than an hour away… but cheaper than the prices we saw on your video… something like 200% or 300% import tax on luxury cars etc. In Thailand
