So awesome you got to meet Lek, the founder of Elephant Nature Park! (Or did you? As I’m watching further into the video I realize that’s not her) We went in 2015 and did an overnight stay, but she was away in another Asian country advocating for elephants there. She likes to try and teach places that allow humans to ride them that you can still be successful in raising money for your families by operating a sanctuary. Hope to meet her someday! The overnight trip was awesome. I believe she served all vegan food. This was 8 months before I went vegan and the only thing I found ‘weird/ofd’ was that they had almond and rice milk instead of dairy milk. I didn’t realize they were serving faux meats I don’t think!

the footage of the elephant sanctuary was making me so emotional and making me cry
it was so beautiful but also so sad <3
it's been a dream of mine since I was quite young to meet an elephant 🐘♥

I love the elephants. It makes me so sad what humanity's existence has caused them (and all aniamls) such great suffering!!
