I live like a hermit in Bangkok. I live next to homeless Thai men that sleep on the back streets o f 7 -11 store. I see the empty bottles of booze every morning the men wake up the only intent to ask me for dope money to buy booze or cannabis . This is the life style I wish the tubers would show the hardships of us living here.

When your Thai wife corrects your Thai speech, just say thank you. She obviously knows the language better than you do so be thankful for the free lesson. It's important to respect their language and try to speak it correctly, especially since you have a platform that people turn to for info about Thailand.

For me Chang Mai would be a nice place to vist but having grown up on an island I'd have live someplace in proximity to the beach I think the islands Phuket or Koh Samui would be my top choices. Hua Hin is a nice community with a lower cost of living but I think I'd prefer to live some place where the water is really clear and turquoise. I assume that the water in Phuket and Koh Samui are much clearer than Hua Hin's water?

How would you compare the ocean water in Koh Samui vs Phuket in terms of clarity. (e.g., same? or is one more clear/prettier than the other).

A great Quickie rundown. Well done ! Glad you didn't talk up Hua Hin too much (my future home which is becoming too well known, but hearing a lot of Pattaya expats and moving there, with their attitudes😮)😊
