The seasons in Chiang Mai, Thailand | Chiang Mai Thailand Ultimate Travel Guide. #chiangmaiweather

The seasons in Chiang Mai may not be what you think. Are you wondering what is the weather in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and when is the best time to go to Chiang Mai in 2024? When do you get the best weather, the least tourists, the best room rates? Let’s talk about the seasons in Chiang Mai first. Chiang Mai has three seasons. In the video you will learn about winter in Chiang Mai, summer in Chiang Mai, and the rainy season in Chiang Mai. We tell you the average temperature for each season, the festivals, and the good and bad things about each season, like the burning season (smokey season) in the summer, and the high tourism in winter. We will tell you about the weather in each month, such as Chiang Mai in November (a great month, which includes December and January). And we talk about Chiang Mai in March and April, the stay-away months due to the burning season and the heat. The weather in Thailand is different in every region and some even have two seasons (summer and rainy season), so Chiang Mai is unique. The seasons also affect the number of tourists and the prices hotels charge, so we tell you the best and worst times to go. We filmed this at the beautiful Wat Pra Singh, a temple right in the old city, and we include a lot of footage for you to see it.

  1. great video, finally a video talking about the "burning season" that many youtubers don't even mention – one suggestion will be nice to know the date or month when you made this video, seems like a lovely day but will be good to know the actual month if possible. I"m planning my first time trip to Thailand and for sure I don't want to be when the air is not clean (like Summer) – do you think will be a good idea to be in Thailand the first 8 days in June? or end of may possible? or still bad (air quality). I also want to go to Cambodia and Vietnam so trying to get more info about when will be better for those 2 countries too – thank you again for a great honest and beautiful video! Best!

  2. I actually really like the idea of visiting in the rainy season, sound's somewhat cooler outside! We're going to definitely be visiting because I need to see it we'd actually enjoy retiring there part time.

  3. Thank you for the great information in this video, very useful. I'm going to check out all of your videos now 😊 Last time I was in Chiang Mai was in April but will be coming in the wet season next time 😊

  4. Thanks to both of you for your informative and beautiful videos as well. Hopefully exploring Thailand over the next year to look for possible places to retire and live more peacefully and affordably while our kids are a home base in the U.S. Loving learning about the culture and the respect and love you have for the Thai people and what we need to know. Congratulations on your marriage!!

  5. Another great Chiangmai video. I'm asking myself why I haven't been there yet! A question about 'liking' your videos. You said Youtube sees that someone liked your video, but do you see it too? I'm slowly but surely going through all your videos and trying to remember to always click on the like icon.

  6. I’m looking forward to planning my trip. Need to do more research about the cost of living and Airbnb’s in the area. And I wonder do I need a visa. I think I love Chiang Mai.❤

  7. What a lovely couple!I just found out about you, and already love it! Thanks for the vid

and info! It's so sad the smoky season, hope it changes soon!
Haven't gone yet, but I think I'd still love Chiang Mai with or without rainy season!

    Anyways, hugs from Argentina 🤗

  8. Hello there! Just watched this video and your positive energy is contagious! I personally have been to Thailand a few times before, an now we r planning a trip to Thailand with our family (together with our three daughters of 6, 8 and 10) this summer! Looking at this video I'd love to 'digitally' meet you and chat further about the possibilities to get some advice and/or guidance now and during the holidays. Is there a way to contact you personally? greets Renier & Rienke

  9. As a fellow YouTuber, I can’t believe that you reply to every comment! That’s amazing! I was originally going to move to Thailand, but chose #vanlife instead. Haha. I am going on 9 years now in the van, but Thailand still seems to be calling my name…..

  10. Thanks for your video, I am planning to go in early February next year. I have a sensitive nose and is allergic to dust, should I better avoid coming around that time?

  11. Love your videos and thank you for this one!! My husband and I are planning a trip to Thailand in March. Now hearing about the burn season my concern is how bad will it be in Chiang Mai we are only spending 2 nights one at Chai Lai Orchid and one night in town to go on a day trip to see the white temple in Chiang Rai. Then we fly down and spend the rest of our time in Phuket. We start in Bangkok 2 nights there. Seeing how brief our time in Chiang Mai will be do you that it will be ok? We have already paid and booked our flights. We do not have any sort of breathing issues. Love your thoughts!!
