These markets showcase not only Chiang Mai’s unique culture and cuisine, but also its elegant arts and crafts. You can even meet some pretty cool people along the way. In this video, I’ll take you to my top six favorite markets in Chiang Mai — from the more popular spots to the hidden gems. You definitely don’t want to miss any of these!

Kad Farang, Hang Dong is a food market on Wed. eve. The clothing market at Malee Plaza near CMU is a good evening market. Every tambon has a daily market for food basics, food court and shopping. Near where I lived Mae Hia market is good. Great khao soy, coffees and Rimping. The flower market by the river at Mad Louang
I've been to several of these markets, but obviously there's much more to explore!

We just recently visited CM and loved the atmosphere at the Coconut Market. We were there early and got a chance to see the alms giving ceremony to the monks.
Such a cool and unique video, I saved all the markets on my Google Maps for next time when I visit CM.

I really like Chamcha market too. There’s a Michelin recommendation restaurant near that market at the end of the street. You should try it next time.
