For meat based dishes, laap is the greatest. Fresh meat is minced by hand, mixed with tingly spices, and eaten with herbs and sticky rice. It’s traditionally eaten raw, but cooked is also acceptable.

6. Gai Neung ไก่นึ่ง

Translated to steamed chicken, but really so much more than that – the chicken is coated in a thick paste of herbs and chilies and steamed until all the flavors come together.

  1. We are off to Chiang Mai for the first time later this month and will definitely be taking copious amounts of advice from this video of where and what to eat…. Great job Mark, keep it up 🙂

  2. Mae hia Market was disappointing, most of the videos ive watched with food recos “must tries” really, i can live without ever going to them, your chiang mai tour can be complete without ever going to the places mentioned here, most stalls offer the same quality, if you went to a place and tried their food and you find it good then thats it, thats how it should be. This guy’s tastebud is different to most people specially in other countries, his tongue is used to fire, chili and heat, even the food his recommending he still adds spice🤷🏼‍♀️

  3. Im about to get ritch btw we have thus lawsuit against child molesters and the lawsuit is almost over we thy sayd already but thats why we needit this info i give youwe didthr same thing as you did

  5. Good morning Mark, Sawasdee krup, I am Heng from London GB. I like one of your main features in all the travel and foodie clips. You include the comparative prices in local currencies and US dollars. This is a great positive note, quite rare in many social media. Sawasdee.

  6. hes a poser!
Talks with a mouthful spiting food all over, eats with his fingers when he got silverware, never clean his hands when grabbing sauces, dirty, gross, rude and disrespectful ASF!
Then add the fake reactions for the views!

  7. Hi Mark, I really want to move to Chiang mai long term however I have a health condition where if I get food poisoning it triggers reactive arthritis which can last months of pain in the joints. My question is; What is the food hygiene like in Chiang Mai and Bangkok? Street vendors and restaurants etc.
    Thanks
